Advisory Board Public Hearing on MWRA’s Proposed FY27 Current Expense Budget (CEB) & Capital Improvement Plan (CIP)

The MWRA Advisory Board will hold a public hearing on the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority’s proposed FY27 Current Expense Budget and Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) on:

Following a presentation on the components of the proposed budget, community officials and members of the public will have an opportunity to provide public comment.

The Authority is required to adopt its Current Expense Budget on or before June 30, as set forth in Chapter 372 of the Acts of 1984. Under this statute, the MWRA Advisory Board is empowered to review the proposed budget and make comments and recommendations prior to its adoption.

In carrying out its responsibilities, the Advisory Board also reviews the Authority’s capital expenditure budgets and capital programs, including the Capital Improvement Plan, and considers the impacts of both operating and capital spending on rates and charges.


Public Comment Participation

Members of the public may participate in the hearing by:

  • Registering to provide verbal public comment during the hearing, and/or

  • Submitting written public comment for inclusion in the public record.

Individuals who register to provide verbal comment will be called upon during the meeting and given up to two minutes to speak. Speakers will be recognized in the order in which they registered.

The live public comment period will be limited to 30 minutes of the scheduled Advisory Board meeting. Individuals who register but are not reached due to time constraints are encouraged to submit their comments in writing.
