The MWRA and the MWRA Advisory Board invite water professionals to this essential training session, designed to help MWRA communities navigate the new Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR). By the time of this event, the October 16 deadline to submit service line inventories will have passed, and communities will be preparing for the next critical milestone: notifying residents with known or potential lead service lines, a requirement that must be completed within 30 days of October 16.
This training will provide a comprehensive overview of the ongoing compliance steps under the LCRR, including guidance on how to meet the notification deadline and stay on track with other key requirements. We will also provide an update on the anticipated Lead and Copper Rule Improvements (LCRI)—if the new regulations are finalized by the event date, we’ll review the finalized requirements; if not, we’ll discuss the anticipated changes.
In addition, MWRA and the Advisory Board will highlight the newly approved Lead Service Line Removal Program (LSLRP), a grant/loan initiative designed to help MWRA communities remove lead service lines. Attendees will earn valuable Training Contact Hours (TCHs) needed for license maintenance while receiving the tools and knowledge necessary to ensure compliance and protect public health.
