A New Era of Content from the MWRA Advisory Board
We are excited to officially launch ABTV! This has been a project in the works for quite some time, and now we are ready to take our communication and outreach to the next level. We can’t wait to share it with you.
ABTV is our new podcast series, designed to keep you informed, engaged, and connected with the latest developments in water and wastewater management. Whether you’re tuning in during your commute or listening at home, ABTV is here to bring you insightful conversations on some of the most critical topics affecting our communities.
From the Vault to the Future
We’ve always been proud of our video content, but ABTV represents an evolution. Think of this as “content 2.0”—improved, expanded, and more engaging. We’ve been working hard to fine-tune everything and build out our landing pages to create the best possible experience for our listeners. While we’re excited to have officially launched on October 1, we’ll continue making improvements along the way to ensure everything runs smoothly.
What’s Coming Next?
We’re kicking things off with the release of our first three podcast episodes so you can dive in right away, and there’s plenty more to come. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the upcoming topics:
- Lead and Copper Rule Revisions and Improvements: Discover how MWRA is supporting communities in removing lead service lines and meeting new regulatory deadlines.
- Metropolitan Tunnel Redundancy Project: Learn about the steps being taken to ensure the reliability and resilience of our water supply infrastructure.
- Aquatic Invasive Species Management: Explore strategies for protecting our water sources from the threats posed by invasive species.
Looking ahead to 2025, we’re planning a special series of interviews with key players who’ve shaped the past four decades of water and wastewater management, as we lead up to the 40th anniversary of both the MWRA and the Advisory Board.
And that’s just a taste of what’s coming. We’re constantly working to bring you relevant and timely content that matters to you and your community.
That’s Not All…
Now, you might be wondering: what’s the TV in ABTV all about?
Well, here’s the exciting part—while ABTV is first and foremost a podcast, we’re taking it a step further. Some of our episodes will feature visual and video content. You’ll get to watch hands-on demonstrations, take virtual tours of key sites, and see presentations in action. So, when we say ABTV is a multi-platform experience, we mean it—audio and video, all in one place.
Listen Anywhere, Anytime
We’re excited to announce that our podcasts will be released across multiple platforms, making it easier than ever to tune in. Whether you’re on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, or another service, you’ll be able to listen, subscribe, and never miss an episode!
Explore More, Share What Matters
We’ve worked with our website team to create a dedicated hub where you can dive deep into all the ABTV content. Each podcast episode will have its own dedicated page, complete with show notes that provide a brief overview, timestamps to guide you to specific topics, and links to related materials and resources mentioned during the episode—helping you explore the subjects that matter most to you in greater detail. You can even play the episode directly from a player embedded right on the page.
We’re also revamping our social media presence to make sure you never miss a new episode. To help you connect with us across platforms, we’ve created a blog post that walks you through where we’re active and what’s unique about each platform. Whether it’s Instagram for images and short clips or Substack for long-form content, this guide will help you find the best way to stay engaged with ABTV. You can also check out all the ways to follow us here: MWRA Advisory Board on Linktree and pick the one that’s right for you.
